Since 2001, The Climate Center has been a leader in making climate solutions a reality in California at speed and scale. They are a “think-tank, do-tank” working to turn bold ideas into action for a climate-safe future.  They have long supported nature-based solutions as a critical part of the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) portfolio.  Their recent report “Carbon Dioxide Removal in California” provides a rich accounting of current CDR policy in California, as well as eight Key Policy Recommendations.  Report co-authors Baani Behniwal and Katy Webb will join us to provide an overview and lead a discussion.

Given that California is the fourth largest economy in the world, and has the most advanced US policy associated with GGR, the state has the opportunity, and even the obligation, to lead.  Please join us to share your ideas and perspectives on how California can best support the rapid scale-up of GGR capacity.
