This Is CDR: Woodcache PBC - Transforming Wood Waste into Carbon Removals
Tuesday, January 21, 12pm EST
In this episode of This Is CDR we are excited to welcome Serge Bushman, president and founder of Woodcache PBC, a pioneering biomass burial public benefit corporation (PBC) that transforms wood waste into durable carbon removals.
Woodcache focuses on converting underutilized forest resources and residual biomass into biochar and engineered wood products. These products lock away carbon for decades or longer, contributing to a circular, low-carbon economy.
ABOUT OUR GUEST
With a passion for climate innovation and sustainable resource management, Serge Bushman founded Woodcache PBC to address the critical need for scalable, durable carbon removal solutions. A California resident, his interest in biomass burial technology was first inspired by his direct experience of forest fire devastation in the state. His leadership focuses on harnessing the potential of underutilized wood resources to create long-lasting carbon sinks and contribute meaningfully to global climate goals. Serge holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
