Workshop: How We Can Transition Concrete from Climate Problem to Solution

Learn about the connection between concrete, climate, and carbon removal, and advocacy initiatives around North America focused on this subject

ABOUT THIS EVENT

The bad news is that currently 8% of annual global CO2 emissions comes from the production of concrete. The good news is that a variety of innovations being developed worldwide in labs, start-ups, and established concrete companies have the potential to make concrete a large-scale, financially-viable pathway for carbon sequestration. In this meeting, we will learn about some of these innovations and how we as individuals can help speed up their development and adoption.

Interested in joining the ‘Blockheads’, a concrete decarbonization action network.

The blockheads are a growing group of concrete decarbonization activists in working on campaigns to implement new policies and programs at the state and local level. We meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 2:15 on zoom to share notes, collectively strategize and increase our knowledge of the subject and advocacy best practices. Just fill out this short form if you are interested in joining our learning more. All are welcome, worldwide!
